1. You’re not properly scaling the campaign

Not stopping and taking the time to test, optimize and track is a huge mistake with any marketing campaign. There are many reasons why you should scale your campaign. If you’ve reached a point where you are getting good ROI, be sure to up the ante and throw in more money. See if things move forward and you are getting more ROI.

2. You don’t have a landing page

Perhaps you are putting your ads across multiple websites. But, do you know where the traffic is eventually landing? Do not redirect all the visitors who click on the ad towards the home page. Coming to your homepage using organic searches is one thing. But, your ads should be strategically linked to various landing pages prompting them to take an action whether it’s to sign up for newsletter, offering their contact details, or buying the product.

3. You don’t have a good landing page

You may be putting good efforts, good amount of money and using the most creative ads ever. But, all of that is of no use if you don’t have a good landing page. Landing page is what closes the deal and truly makes all your efforts pay off. Therefore, don’t forget to experiment with the landing page every once in awhile and see which one works best.

4. You are not thinking from the buyer’s perspective

Just creating an ad or a post that looks and reads interesting and putting them on free advertising websites is no good. If it’s not written from your customer’s point of view and doesn’t offer a solution to their problem, you are doing it all wrong. Put yourself in your customer's’ shoes and think about their pain points. Draft your ad in such a way that people will find it hard to resist because it’s offering exactly what they are looking for.
